The Na Pasece lookout tower is a new dominant of the Podblanicko region, which rises on the Paseka hill at an altitude of 516 m above sea level, approximately 1 km northwest of Trhové Štěpánov. This modern steel structure with wooden elements was inaugurated on 31 December 2023.
From the top of the lookout tower you can see views of Velký Blaník, the Švihov reservoir, the hills of Melechov and Strážiště and the Votická vrchovina. With good visibility, you can see towns and villages within a radius of up to 60 kilometres.
Near the lookout tower there is the former Štěpánovský quarry with a nature trail about the history of quarrying and uranium mining, a new pond, the Štěpánov Museum and the historic Jewish cemetery.
The lookout tower is open all year round and free of charge. The nearest access road leads from Trhové Štěpánov towards the northwest, the last part of the route continues through the forest.
